On The Road with Ama Mama

One of the reasons I bought Ama Mama is because she can easily be trailer-ed anywhere. However, to trailer and set-up / break-down efficiently takes practice and preparation. On the preparation side of things, I have three containers of items (shown below):
  1. Red and Black Box - this is a cool tool box I found at Lowes that doubles as a step stool or seat if needed. In it I carry the following:
    1. Tools for replacing a trailer tire
    2. Lubricant for loosening tight tire lug nuts
    3. Wasp spray in case they have taken up residence in my absence
    4. Keys for the trailer hitch
    5. Hose nozzle for wash downs
    6. Spare sunscreen
  2. Yellow Tackle Box
    1. Block and line for raising and lowering the mast
    2. Spare gloves
    3. Lines and bungees for tying the mast down
  3. Small Black Box - this is a hydraulic jack for lifting the trailer to replace a blown tire.
