The bucket includes the following:
A spare bungee and some string come in handy occasionally for all kinds of uses.
Personal comfort items - my sailing gloves, hand sanitizing wipes, a coozie for cold drinks, and an electronic motion sickness wrist band by request from Alex!
Navigation and communication items - small 25X binoculars, 17 year old ICOM handheld VHF, and rechargeable air horn with small hand pump in the background.
Basic tools - handheld, convertible flashlight / lantern, head band flashlight with white and red LED options, spare aka bolts and socket wrench, 4 bit screw driver, and Leatherman multi-tool.
Here are some additional misc. items:
Winch handle and hiking stick for the tiller. Note - winch on the aft deck was moved from the port forward location to provide more leverage when tightening halyards. I found I don't need the winches for the jib sheets and thought one would be more useful here, and it has been. I'm glad I moved it.
A 12V air pump / spotlight comes in handy for inflating our air mattresses at the end of the day! I've also used the spotlight function once when coming into a dark harbor entrance at night.
This bag holds a small hand-pump (also shown below), various flags, spinnaker sheets, and barber-hauler lines.
Can't leave home with out the fishing gear!
And of course, one better not leave for the Bahamas without some snorkeling gear.
