This journal contains adventure summaries on my 14' Weta Trimaran, Puppy Dawg. Also, earlier posts document how I took my 19.5' day sailing trimaran, Ama Mama, and transformed her into a Gulf Stream crossing, Bahama cruising boat!

A Day at the Beach with Ama Mama
Carmina was flying out to the Philippines a week ahead of Alex and I so she could spend time with her Dad and brother. Alex and I decided to take Ama Mama down to the coast for a trip to the beach. We decided to go without the mast and just motor out to the leeward side of the coastal barrier islands outside of Port O'Conner, TX to a place call Sunday Beach. As you will see if you click on this link, this is really the only place on the Texas coast where you can anchor a boat in the lee of the barrier islands and easily walk to the breaking waves on the shores of the Gulf. Alex had a great time playing in the sand and sailing around the bay on our Aquaglide. That night we had a nice campfire with no other people around except us!
